Montessori Infants’ House

Montessori Infants' House

The Infants’ House is a special and unique playgroup designed for 0-3 year olds. In this playgroup, children are given the opportunity to learn independently in an environment that caters specifically for their needs. It provides the child an introduction to the Montessori Method, while having a parent /carer present. There are a wide variety of prepared activities for the children to choose from.  The parent accompanies the child and the facilitator oversees the whole process, demonstrating the material when necessary.  Enjoying this quality time focusing on the child is a special and rewarding part of the playgroup experience.

It is a delight to watch the wonderful development in the children during their time at the Infants’ House.  In each session there are smiles of satisfaction and delight from the children as they experience the joy of learning.  Involvement in the playgroup fosters the development of various skills, independence, a love of learning and is a solid foundation on which to reach full potential.

We are a member of the Playgroup Association of Queensland and run under the umbrella of the Montessori Children’s House.

Resources are provided that fit with the Montessori Method of Education, and they are organised into the five areas of: Practical Life Activities; Sensorial Activities; Language Activities; Mathematics Activities; and Cultural Activities.
