Parent Participation

The Children’s House is a community-based kindergarten affiliated with Lady Gowrie, Queensland.

Family participation – from maintaining the gardens, to repairing our resources, sharing skills in the educational program, or taking a role on the Committee – enhances the quality of the educational experience at MCH. Parents enjoy working together to contribute to their child’s education. Through family contributing together, children come to understand the process of community involvement. This in turn, makes it a special place for them to learn and play.

How MCH is managed

Montessori Children’s House Ltd is an incorporated company limited by guarantee. One member of each family is invited to become a company member, once your child starts at MCH.

The Centre is managed by a Committee of parents who are elected at the Annual General Meeting.  The Committee meets at least eight times during the year and all parents are welcome to attend.

The aims of the Montessori Children’s House are to:

  • deliver a high-quality Montessori education
  • foster the development and the growth of Montessori education in Brisbane
  • liaise with other schools to support the children in their pathway to prep
