Music and Montessori: Kindy Preparation sessions
We are very pleased to announce that in January 2024, we will have a toilet installed at the Infants’ House. This will enable us to begin our Kindy Preparation sessions for children 2.5 + years of age who have begun their independent toileting journey. The shorter hours of care are a gentle introduction to separation, knowing your child is in a beautiful, home like setting with caring, qualified and experienced educators. The session will begin and end with music and movement to support the children to separate from the adult dropping them off, to connect with the educators and to meet their new friends.
About Kindy Preparation
Sharon Hardgrave, our Diploma qualified, Montessori trained Playgroup coordinator, will be the Kindy Preparation coordinator. We will follow a ratio of 1 adult for 5 children. The group will be a maximum of 10 children with a qualified educator working with Sharon.
Children will attend Group A Monday and Tuesday or Group B Thursday and Friday with an optional Wednesday, in line with our Kindergarten program, for a 10 week term. Currently enrolled children will have the first option for spaces for the next term. Kindy Preparation enrolment gives your child priority on our Kindy waitlist once they reach eligible age.
